Why do you choose your major (I) ?

My major is mechanical engineering. I never forget that I do not do well on my senior high school’s entrance exams, and I am also surprised my grades are much lower than the mock tests. Fortunately, there is a last chance for me, to enter the Ming-Chi institute of technology. Then, I choose my major in mechanical engineering.

I do not like my major at first, but I think there are some reasons let me change my mind. First of all, I find that some of the subjects attract me a lot, and I start to have the interests on these, such as Dynamics, Manufactures, Materials. Second, one of the courses named “Factory practice” make me know the difference between text books and real life. I really learn a lot from this course, and I could figure out it is not easy to manger a factory. Third, my uncles usually tell me the things about how to make a new produce by these machines and teachers also help me to understand the importance of manufacture techniques. These ideas affect me in my heart very deeply, and I appreciate them very much.

After that, I straighten out my thinking gradually, and I believe my choice is right. I remember that some one said “One may distinguish himself in any trade”. I think everyone should try your best on doing everything. Thus, there are no problems can confuse you, and you will make it finally.
